Director, Financial Reporting Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
The Division of Financial Services is seeking a Director of Financial Reporting. The Director manages all operations and activities of the Financial Reporting unit. This position is responsible for day-to-day supervision of operations, as well as the overall internal and external financial reporting. The Director is responsible for the creation of the University’s Annual Financial Report, SEFA report, HERD survey, additional internal and external reports, and serves as the main contact for audits. The Director’s responsibilities include performing diverse, specialized, and complex work involving significant accountability and decision-making, requiring an extensive professional background as well as skill in coordinating projects and staff responsibilities. This position is required to lead utilizing technology and industry tools and best practices to modernize policies and procedures regarding accounting and reporting activities for the University.

Agricultural Technician II Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
Kansas Forest Service is hiring a full-time Agricultural Technician II position within the Conservation Tree Planting Program (CTPP). The CTPP operates a conservation seedling distribution program which procures and/or produces various types of woody plant material including bare-root seedlings, stratified seed and containerized seedlings to be used for conservation plantings throughout the state. Over 40 species of deciduous and coniferous trees and shrubs are propagated and or/procured on an annual basis. The agricultural technician recruited will fill an important role at KFS through the facilitation of greenhouse operations, through the operation and maintenance of equipment, by providing assistance with labor intensive shipping operations, facilitating seed collection and processing efforts for the nursery, and maintaining grounds around KFS. This position will qualify for paid stand-by time in cooperation with the CTPP Foresters.
