General Description of Position: K-State Research and Extension, Sedgwick County is accepting applications for a Nutrition Educator for the Family Nutrition Program (FNP) to provide nutrition education to limited resource families throughout the county. The position is 40 hours per week.

Job Description:
1.  Plan, develop, coordinate and deliver nutrition education programming to limited resource groups and individuals
2.  Develop partnerships and contacts with local service agencies, school districts and other community agencies. Serve as public relations representative for FNP program
3.  Participate in local community collation/collaborations that would benefit nutrition education of limited resource clients.
4.  Gather data and compile county FNP reports and records for submission to the state FNP office. Gather data and compile monthly and yearly board reports. Attend FNP training.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Education, Family and Consumer Sciences or closely related field. Applicant must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation, and able to transport class materials and supplies. 
Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership skills in delivery of educational programs

Salary Range / Pay Rate: Beginning salary is $15.00 per hour plus benefits
