General Description of Position:

The successful candidate is expected to play a leading role in physics analysis of the group’s interest for the CMS experiment, as well as working on the CMS detector upgrades. It is expected that the successful candidate will be based at Fermi National Accelerator Lab (FNAL) or at CERN. Occasional travel for meetings and conferences is expected.

Job Description:

CMS experiment at European Center for Nuclear Research (CERN). The KSU group (Andrew Ivanov, Ketino Kaadze, and Yurii Maravin) has a strong background in searches for new physics, Higgs boson, and top quark physics, and is active in the pixel and hadron calorimeter phase 1 and phase 2 upgrades

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. and research experience in experimental particle physics

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in hadron collider data analysis, experience in commissioning and testing of the electronics, and detector operations.
