General Description of Position:

Position is located in Manhattan, Kansas. Information Technology Support Specialist II. Technical expert on the proprietary software utilized by the department. Provides reports and queries to assist management for business analysis. Assists with desktop support and website.

The Successful Candidate will:

  • Support proprietary parking system, T2 Flex, for all university Parking operations. Responsible for the overall management of specialized hardware and software systems utilized by Parking Services. Ensures all appropriate rules and policies related to information systems are adhered to and recommends new policies and procedures as required. Provide technical direction/support/advice regarding the development and maintenance of new and existing systems. Analyze appropriate hardware and software solutions for the department. Serve as primary liaison to University IT and software/hardware vendors.
  • Develop queries and reports from enterprise wide systems and/or proprietary and specialized data systems using SQL, MS Access, Crystal Reports or other appropriate software. Produce reports and summaries for management and/or users including status reports, problem reports, progress summaries and system utilization reports. Extract, analyze and share data from relational databases. Develop appropriate reports to meet the information and communication requirements of the department.
  • Provide technical support and oversight for updating and maintaining the department’s web pages through use of appropriate content development programming tools. Develop print and web-based technical support for customer use. Build and maintain a social network presence.
  • Provide oversight of desktop support services for the department. Serve as an internal expert on the use of applications. Advise users on the functionality and capabilities of specific applications. Provide internal training on software to end users.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a high school diploma and two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Cystal Reports, SQL and T2 Flex experience

Salary Range/ Pay Rate:

$17.63 - $27.33 per hour
