General Description of Position:

Agronomy Research Aide - assists with data collection in both laboratory and field setting.

The Successful Candidate will:

  • Assist in establishing crop research trials and performing various tasks associated with field research.
  • Collect crop performance data by doing sample counts of plant density, bloom dates, heads, ears in the field.
  • Process crop samples by weighing, counting heads or kernals, and counting seeds. Perform data entry into manual notebooks or computerized systems..
  •  Perform routine custodial duties to maintain cleanliness and order in the workplace.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Must have a valid drivers license upon employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to use basic tools associated with applied agronomy research program
  • Ability to understand and carry out specific written and oral instructions
  • Ability to operate and maintain agricultural machinery

Special Instructions to Applicants:

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.

Salary Range/ Pay Rate:

$9.69-$15.98 per hour
