General Description of Position:

This position provides oversight of the graduate admissions processes following the policies set forth in the Graduate Handbook using CollegeNet, an online application system; supervises the two administrative admissions staff that includes training on CollegeNET system updates, provide on-going coaching, monitor daily tasks and accomplishments including timely processing of applications to increase the acceptance and matriculation of graduate students, and prepares/administers performance reviews for the two employees; coordinates all department/program and Graduate School updates in CollegeNet, both on-going and annual updates for Admissions and Prospect Modules; trains graduate program directors, contact staff and graduate faculty on effective use of College Net; implement system changes daily to facilitate admissions process; works with CollegeNet team to resolve system problems; and coordinates the annual updates based on input from all users. Assists with admissions processing as needed. This role is essential to the admissions and matriculation of graduate students who contribute to the university mission of teaching and research and financial resources to the university in tuition and fees.

The Successful Candidate will:

Will be the primary communication to our on-line application vendor CollegeNet and the supervisor for admissions for the Graduate School team, this staff member works independently and without direct supervision, requires numerous judgement calls daily, and must train the other admissions members to work independently on computer applications. They also must communicate with many constituents such as potential applicants, upper administration, multiple department heads and program directors, and internal staff of KSU and Graduate School.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a high school diploma and two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Technology.  Experience in personnel supervision and training.

Administrative experience in a university with diverse groups and individuals with graduate education.

$36,674.00 - $56,845.00
