|General Description of Position:
The K-State Center for Child Development, a nationally accredited early childhood program, is looking for a highly dedicated and enthusiastic Child Development Assistant Teacher.

The Center provides early childhood care and education programs for children of

The Center is licensed by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment to serve 230 children, ages 6 weeks to 12 years. During the academic year, the center provides care for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age. During the summer months, the center offers a Summer Camp for Kindergartners to the age of 12.

|The Successful Candidate Will:
This position provide support to a Lead Teacher in the areas of designing, planning and leading activities for children.
- Ensures a clean, safe environment for all children in attendance.
- Communicates with teaching staff, parents and administrators regarding issues that concern preschool students.
- Requires substantial contact with children, parents and other staff in order to facilitate a safe, educational and stimulating environment.
|Required Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma and Five sessions of observation for not less than two and one-half consecutive hours per observation in licensed preschools or child care centers with one year teaching experience in a licensed center or preschool, or one year of supervised practicum in licensed center or preschool.
Seven to nine semester hours of academic credit or equivalent training in child development or early childhood education and three months teaching experience in a licensed center or preschool, or one year of supervised practicum in licensed center or preschool.
- Ability to Pass KBI Background Check, Physical and TB Test. A criminal background check will be required for the candidate selected for hire.
- Ability to lift/move items up to 30 pounds unassisted on a repetitive basis, daily.
- Work inside and outside under varying work and climatic conditions.
