About This Role:

This position facilitates the coordination and delivery of university credit courses and programs for the College of Engineering and the College of Architecture, Planning and Design. This position is expected to work within the colleges to develop new courses and programs and to participate in the Global Campus development grant funding process to facilitate new courses and programs. The incumbent will be expected to actively engage in the development and review of budgets and financial decisions related to programs in the assigned colleges.

The person in this position is a member of the Kansas State University Global Campus staff but is expected to form a strong alliance with the assigned academic colleges and represent the needs of the colleges to Global Campus leadership. In addition, this position will work with numerous entities across campus and is expected to represent K-State Global Campus as requested on committees and project teams.

Major areas of responsibility include:

  • Academic program facilitation and coordination (40%)
  • Program development (30%)
  • Enrollment/financial management (15%)
  • Global Campus and university service (15%)

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Three (3) years of higher education experience or relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in development of programs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse groups
  • Proven record of organizational and administrative skills including the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects
  • Experience in budget management
  • Knowledge of the field of distance education including general status and challenges, student services and faculty issues
  • Ability to work independently or as a team member
  • Understanding of technology as it relates to online course delivery
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office programs, use of database systems and electronic communication applications
  • Experience or general knowledge in careers relevant to assigned colleges/programs.
  • Familiarity with KSIS and K-State Online or similar learning management and student information systems


Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
  • Ability to accommodate occasional overnight travel
  • Hold a valid driver’s license in order to meet occasional travel expectations

Salary Range/ Pay Rate:



Please note: the minimum salary for this position is $36,674. Actual salary will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, education, internal equity and departmental funding. Salary offers are typically made between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range. The range indicated includes both the typical hiring range and potential future progression.
