About This Role:

The Department of Philosophy is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor for a benefits eligible,1-year appointment beginning August 12, 2018. AOS/AOC is open. A PhD or advanced ABD is required. 

As the Visiting Assistant Professor, you will teach three sections of philosophy in each of the Fall 2018 and Spring 2019. Section would include introductory philosophy, intro to ethics, and/or medical ethics. In addition, you will need to demonstrate a commitment to and appreciation for teaching students from diverse, multi-cultural backgrounds and perform light departmental service duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD or ABD in Philosophy or closely related area, with a substantive training in philosophy and an active research program in philosophy.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
