About This Role:

The Center for Student Involvement is seeking a highly dedicated and enthusiastic full -time individual to become a member of the CSI/SGA team. This position serves as the front-line receptionist for students, staff, other KSU offices, and visitors for information pertaining to the Center for Student Involvement, student organizations and campus activities. Provides administrative support for the office, maintenance of Student organization records, and assistance with Student Governing Activities.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for the Welcome Desk and the Center for Student Involvement front desk which includes assisting with Student Government members and committees.
  • Serves as Notary Public, training of student employees and general office duties.
  • Provide support and guidance for over 500 student organizations with electronic forms utilizing the OrgSync program.
  • Daily indexing of documents and record keeping through scanning software.
  • Maintain CSI calendar and conference room reservation schedule.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • One year experience in general office, clerical and administrative support work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school degree
  • Knowledge and experience in higher education.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, proofreading and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to plan, organize and develop record keeping processes.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and apply pertinent policies and procedures with regard to appropriate SGA or CSI activity.  In addition, be able to explain such protocols to administration, staff and students.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and representatives of other agencies and/or departments.
  • Ability to work in diverse environment.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
  • Ability to become Notary Public within 6 months
