About This Role:

The Plant Disease Information System (PDIS) is a national database used by several regional agencies.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or closely related field requiring a high degree of software design and programming expertise
  • 1 year of experience with professional software development; designing, coding, testing and maintaining application programs and performing systems analysis in an applications environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS in Computer Science or closely related field
  • Knowledge of and experience with: Windows operating systems and client/server systems; programming languages such as C#, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, SQL, XML and ASP.NET; relational database development, direct access techniques and remote processing; structured and/or computerized diagramming techniques; Internet development tools; computer systems analysis
  • Experience with PDIS v2 software

Salary Range/ Pay Rate:

$46,534 - $74,455

The minimum salary for this position is $46,534.  Actual salary will be determined based on the candidates experience, education, internal equity and departmental funding.  Salary offers are typically made between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range.  The range indicated includes both the typical hiring range and potential future progression.
