About This Role:

The Division of Financial Services is looking to fill a supervisory position  within the General Accounting Section to mange the accounts payable activities in the Voucher Audit and Travel Sections. Along with the supervision of five full-time staff and student workers the position is responsible for ensuring compliance with state and university policies and procedures and serves as a liaison to university department personnel as well as internal department staff.  Other responsibilities include the coordinating of year-end auditing processes and workflow and training, and the management of the business procurement card program.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and 3 or more years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or business related field
  • Ability to analyze and make recommendations for improvement and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Experienced knowledge of financial information systems and accounting programs
  • Ability to communicate in writing and by telephone
  • Ability to interpret and explain technical and varied rules and regulations are highly desirable
  • Preference given to individuals with direct supervisory experience

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment

Pay Rate:

$19.84 - $30.75 per hour

Please note:  The minimum salary for this position is $19.84.  Actual salary will be determined on the candidate’s experience, education, internal equity and departmental funding.  Salary offers are typically made between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range.  The range indicated includes both the typical hiring range and potential future progression.
