About This Role:

Conduct research in editing the wheat genome for improving yield and yield related traits, and to improve biotic and abiotic tolerances.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ph.D. degree in Plant Pathology, Biology, Microbiology, or related fields
  • A strong foundation in plant biology, biochemistry, and current molecular biology techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in bacterial culture maintenance and genetic transformation is desired.
  • Experience with sm RNA sequences and data are preferred.
  • Plant production in greenhouse and environmental chambers experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrate detail to quality control and must be able to design and conduct independent experiments with a strong commitment towards goals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Previous supervisory skills
