About This Role:

The Department of Psychological Sciences is seeking an Assistant Professor to begin Fall of 2019.

The Behavioral Neuroscience area is part of a research-based Ph.D granting department in which faculty members conduct research, supervise graduate students, and teach two courses (graduate and/or undergraduate) each semester.

The Department of Psychological Sciences, which is part of the College of Arts and Sciences, has 15 full-time faculty members who are active researchers and also serve more than 400 undergraduate majors, many of whom are involved in research.  The Department has an extensive Ph.D. program with four major areas: Behavioral Neuroscience, Cognitive, Industrial/Organizational, and Social. The department’s Graduate Teaching Apprenticeship program prepares doctoral students to teach in higher education and is one of the few of its type in the country. What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • A doctoral degree in Psychology or a related field is required prior to the time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postdoctoral experience is desirable
  • Strong commitment to teaching and mentoring of students and to serving a diverse population

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
