About This Role:

The Department of Physics at Kansas State University seeks an experimental or theoretical physicist with research interests in the frontier areas of biological physics.  Specific areas of interest may include the physics of neuroscience, proto-biological functions and the emergence of the living state, or biological problems at the cellular and molecular levels; however, this list is not exhaustive.  The successful candidate will be appointed at the rank of tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Physics Department.  Candidates must have a PhD (or an equivalent degree) in physics or a closely related field.  The successful candidate should also demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring of students and to serving a diverse population.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ph.D. or an equivalent degree in Physics or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of Postdoctoral experience.
  • Must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring of students and to serving a diverse population.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
