About This Role:

Kansas State Polytechnic is seeking applications for full-time Professional Pilot faculty member.  The successful candidate will teach undergraduate students covering subject matter in professional pilot curriculum (existing and future courses).  This is a nine-month teaching position which includes a full benefit package.  For additional information on benefits, visit www.k-state.edu/hcs/benefits/overview.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Masters degree
  • Understanding of commercial aviation
  • FAA Part 121 flight crew experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Desire to work with interdisciplinary teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD or equivalent in aviation related field
  • Willingness to teach crew resource management
  • Demonstrated ability to teach in a classroom setting
  • FAA flight instructor, airplane certificate

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
  • Applicants must meet accreditation credential requirements to teach college courses

Salary Range/ Pay Rate:

$50,000 - $80,000, depending upon qualifications.

Please note: the minimum salary for this position is $50,000. Actual salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, internal equity and departmental funding. Salary offers are typically made between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range. The range indicated includes both the typical hiring range and potential future progression.
