About This Role:

This position is tasked with advancing the Center for Engagement and Community Development (CECD) and Kansas State University’s healthy food access work.  Specifically, this position will pursue this task by: (1) organizing and providing technical assistance to healthy food access stakeholders, (2) managing partner and stakeholder relationships, (3) participating in community engaged scholarship and assisting with grant development, (4) assisting with event management, and (5) providing leadership with CECD publications.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Evidence of success in project management: organizing and managing project teams
  • Demonstrated research and analysis skills
  • Ability to work in team environment in diverse and changing environments
  • Ability to work both with university faculty and external stakeholder groups
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel across Kansas
  • Project experience with food systems (local growers, farmers markets, rural grocery stores, food hubs or other relevant food system contexts)
  • Commitment to citizen-empowered community development
  • Community-based research experience

Salary Range/ Pay Rate:

$47,476 – $75,940
