About This Role:        

Reporting to the Director of the Office of Student Financial Assistance, the incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day management of all non-athletic related scholarship processing for the university in excess of $47M annually. In carrying out essential student eligibility, fiscal tracking, notification, and delivery responsibilities, it is imperative that the individual possess a robust, analytical skill set allowing her/him to carry out on-going system enhancement design/testing in response to the institution’s enrollment management objectives. Operating within a highly decentralized environment consisting of university foundation staff, college/departmental scholarship coordinators, system developers/managers, and enrollment managers, it is critical that the incumbent reflect a highly developed ability to facilitate collaboration, prioritize competing objectives, and author effective, written communications. Dedication to customer service as it pertains to all parties integral to scholarship deliver is a must.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years work experience within student financial assistance, a higher education administrative office, or an administrative office employed within an accounting/fiduciary administrative office, system support capacity.                                                 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Work or educational experience in researching and interpreting complex regulations
  • Work or educational experience in information systems and/or data analytics
  • Experience providing in-person customer support in the form of training and/or group presentations
  • Experience extracting data from databases utilizing such tools as PeopleSoft Query, Microsoft Access, etc.
  • Experience in a supervisory role
  • Exceptional writing/authoring skills

Other Requirements:

  • Condition of employment requires the individual to register and successfully maintain eligibility to electronically access various U.S. Department of Education databases such as the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System, etc.. Consequently, the individual may not be in default on a federal student loan
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment

Salary Range/ Pay Rate:

 

$47,476 - $75,940 annually

Please note: the minimum salary for this position is $47,476. Salary offers are typically made between $47,476 and $61,700 of the salary range. The range indicated includes both the typical hiring range and future progression.
