About This Role:

The Center for Student Success and Professional Services in the College of Education at Kansas State University seeks to hire an Academic Advisor.
This person will work as part of a team to provide academic support and services to students to assist with educational options and career goals as it relates to their abilities and interests. Assist students with developing long term graduation plans.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and one year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use current technologies.
  • MA/MS in school counseling, student personnel services, or academic advising degree/certificate.
  • Experience in K-12 teaching and/or higher education.
  • Experience working with 1st generation and diverse populations.

Other Requirements:

  • A strong commitment to advancing the Center for Student Success and Professional Services (CSSPS) to national prominence.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment

Salary Range/ Pay Rate:

$37,410 - $57,980

Please note: the minimum salary for this position is $37,410 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, internal equity, and departmental funding. Salary offers are typically made between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range.  The range indicated includes both the typical hiring range and potential future progression.
