About This Role:

This is a core position for the KSRE Family and Consumer Sciences extension program. The incumbent is the first line of support for county FCS agents and also contributes significantly to state-wide efforts.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • A master's degree in a Family and Consumer Sciences subject matter or closely related field.
  • Interest and training in family development, child development or family resource management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English.
  • Interest in working with people as individuals, groups, and co-workers to accomplish individual and/or group goals as evidenced by work experiences and community activities.
  • Demonstrated ability in designing, promoting, implementing and evaluating educational programs.
  • Demonstrated success in forming partnerships with organizations and agencies external to the University and K-State Research and Extension.
  • Ability to work with underserved audiences in a diverse and multicultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional experience with Cooperative Extension.
  • Demonstrated success in extramural grant writing.
  • PhD in a FCS subject matter or closely related field.
  • Ability to speak Spanish.
