About This Role:

Individual is expected to:

  • Investigate how components such as protease inhibitors in sorghum grain impact fermentation efficiency and the quality of co-products produced during fermentation.
  • Conduct research into the impact of inhibitors on protein digestibility in in-vitro protein digestibility assays and sorghum fermentation.
  • Research the effect of genotype, growing environment and growing year on levels of protease inhibitors as well as grain composition and fermentation efficiency.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Research experience on organic chemistry, biochemistry, grain properties, grain composition analysis

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
