About This Role:

The Systems Specialist for Financials supports the Division of Financial Services on the Oracle E-Business Suite application and other applications, as needed, to support business needs.  The position works with end users in the Division of Financial Services and others in IT to define requirements, develop technical specifications, and determine appropriate software configuration; analyze, develop, and test application changes; troubleshoot production issues; and perform analysis, design, and development of systems interfaces and integrations to other K-State and third-party applications.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires an associate degree and one to three years of relevant experience. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience writing/maintaining PL/SQL programs
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux operating system
  • Experience with shell scripting (on Unix/Linux)
  • Experience supporting browser-based applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or other appropriately related technical field
  • Three to five years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to solicit requirements from end users and translate requirements into technical specifications
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Experience in designing, coding, and testing software programs.
  • Demonstrated ability with relational database management systems. (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server)
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities

Salary Range/ Pay Rate:

$47,476- $75,940 Annually

The minimum salary for this position is $47,476. Actual salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, internal equity and departmental funding.
Salary offers are typically made between $47,476 and $61,700 of the salary range. The range indicated includes both the typical hiring range and potential future progression.
