The Department of Computer Science (CS) is seeking applications for a permanent full-time Instructor position within the department beginning Fall 2017. The person in this position will be required to teach courses in computer science, which may include computer programming, data structures, and software engineering. Duties will also include participation in student engagement activities such as advising, KSU Open House, and student team competitions. Women and members of under-represented groups are highly encouraged to apply. The position requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Relevant industrial experience, teaching experience, or a PhD degree is preferred.

Research Assistant Manhattan
The Agronomy Department at Kansas State University is looking for a Research Assistant to manage and carryout research activities for field-scale research studying cover crop and fertilizer management effects on water, sediment, and nutrient loss to from agricultural fields. Research will take place at the Kansas Agricultural Watershed field laboratory (www.ksu.edu/kaw) and on producer farms. Duties include: operation of automated water sampling equipment, data loggers, and soil moisture probes; management of field crops, field operations, farm equipment operation, and site maintenance; soil, plant tissue, and water sample collection and processing; sample analysis; data management, data analysis, and summarization of research results; and supervision of part-time employees.
Fellow (Post Doc) Manhattan
To conduct NIH funded research studying the degradation of proteasomes through autophagy. The work in the lab aims to understand the molecular mechanisms that control the assembly, and autophagic degradation of proteasomes in yeast and mammalian cells. Toward this goal, the lab utilizes a combination of molecular, cellular and biochemical experimental techniques.

Research Assistant (Feedlot Manager) Manhattan

Procurement Officer I Manhattan
This position will be responsible for all procurement of equipment, materials and supplies for all teaching, grant projects, laboratory and research activities. This includes preparation of purchase requisitions and orders, acquiring bids as needed up to $5,000, and completion of Prior Authorizations as needed. This position maintains the state required inventory systems to accurately record equipment purchases. Along with maintaining inventory records, position is also responsible for tracking necessary maintenance of equipment, as well as the disposition of discarded equipment. This position will be the first point of contact for all departmental maintenance problems and repairs of departmental space. This position will work closely with the University Fire Marshall and Code Inspector to ensure all departmental buildings are meeting code and all safety regulations are followed. Incumbent must be able to advise department of safety issues and training, disposal of hazardous waste and pest control ensuring adherence to KSU policy and procedures.
