Research Assistant / Crisis Counselor (Family Studies & Human Services) - Hurlburt Field & Eglin Air Force Base, Florida Other
The School of Family Studies and Human Services is seeking a Research Assistant / Crisis Counselor. This position is full-time working on site at Hurlburt Field & Eglin Air Force Base, Florida on a USDA-funded Family Advocacy Program study. This person is the on-site administrator of the sponsored project to facilitate daily implementation of the research project by promoting the program, selecting research participants, designing and implementing database information and collaborating with the researchers at Kansas State University, Northern Illinois University and other Air Force bases involved in the project.
Research Assistant Professor (Family Studies and Human Services) Manhattan, Kansas
The School of Family Studies and Human Services is seeking a Research Assistant Professor. The half-time position will oversee research projects on prevention of and intervention with intimate partner violence and child maltreatment. Projects will include enhancing understanding of factors related to Intimate Partner Homicide, developing on-line secondary partner violence and child maltreatment prevention programming for military partners, enhancing understanding of factors related to partner violence, and other emerging research themes. The successful candidate will be part of a research team in the Couple and Family Therapy program and will work on projects funded by the US military in addition to working as part of a research team on other projects. This will entail working with, co-leading, and leading research teams studying partner and child maltreatment. The successful candidate will also take leadership on disseminating the results of research in the form of publications, reports, and presentations. The successful candidate will also lead efforts to obtain additional funding in this area of research from appropriate sources.
