The Kansas State College Advising Corps is seeking a KSCAC Hybrid Advisor in the Kansas City area. The Hybrid Advisor will play a critical role in delivering college advising in a new partnership between College Advising Corps (CAC) and the Kansas City Scholars Program to increase the number of high-achieving, low-and-moderate-income students who apply to, matriculate and graduate from college. The Hybrid Advisor will use space at KC Scholars as a home base, then travel to the Kansas City area high schools to meet with the students and their cohorts.

An Associate Scientist Position in cereal grain science is available in the Department of Grain Science and Industry at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. This individual is expected to assist the professor in managing the KSU Wheat Quality Lab, conduct wheat quality tests to support the wheat breeding program, train and supervise research assistants and student workers, manage and conduct service projects, conduct both fundamental and applied research in the grain chemistry area, collect experimental data and analyze data, prepare technical report and/or manuscripts for publication, give presentations at conferences, write grant proposals, and perform other duties as requested by the PI. This is a full time, 12 months, temporary position. The position is renewable based on continued funding, research performance, and the need for the services.

The Nutrition Educator position serves to meet the Kansas Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) mission of empowering low-income Kansans using evidence-based strategies to achieve healthy lives and reduce health disparities. The Department of Anatomy & Physiology is seeking applicants for a Research Assistant. The incumbent to this position would be responsible for initial configuration and implementation of an API platform in our computational environment. This is envisioned as a multipurpose platform that will integrate disparate sources of human and animal health data (FDA Drug Approvals and Databases, veterinary electronic medical records, pharmacogenomic data, preclinical toxicological data, pharmacological and diagnostic laboratory data, etc.) into a single platform using tools developed by our group and Cerner (CODE, Ignite, FHIR, etc. ) to curate and manage integrated human and animal health databases.

The Institute of Computational Comparative Medicine (ICCM) and Department of Anatomy and Physiology within College of Veterinary Medicine are seeking applicants for a Fellow (Post Doc) to work in the Computational Toxicology and Pharmacokinetic Modeling Laboratory of Dr. Zhoumeng Lin. The incumbent of this position will be responsible for designing and developing physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models for chemicals or nanoparticles in animals and humans for food safety assessment or risk assessment. This individual will also apply machine learning and neural network modeling methods to study the association of nanoparticle physiological properties and tissue distribution. This individual will receive training in PBPK modeling, dose-response assessment, risk assessment, computational toxicology, machine learning and/or neural network modeling.
Fellow (Post Doc) (Anatomy & Physiology) Manhattan, Kansas
