Instructor- Community Outreach Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
The College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants for an Instructor. This position provides oversight for the Department of Clinical Sciences Community Outreach elective clinical rotation and service activities. This rotation has an average of 3 students and meets for a full week, typically 2 weeks monthly. When service, CO works with a variety of partner organizations where veterinary patient services are provided to vulnerable community members that may not otherwise receive veterinary services. Veterinary clinic services are provided throughout the state and region. The instructor leader has the primary responsibility of organizing service activities, student schedules and patient care activities. Often outreach services align with human health care providers that are on site for animal owner health services.

Extension agents are professional educators who serve as a link between Kansas State University and communities across Kansas. The Shawnee County Extension office is located in Topeka and serves the communities of Auburn, Berryton, Dover, Rossville, Silver Lake, Topeka and all rural areas in the county. This position will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of research-based nutrition educational programming to support successful families and the systems that serve them. Programming may include but is not limited to: food preparation, nutrition, food safety, food resource management, household food security, and physical activity promotion. Major efforts will target limited-resource families and individuals.
Veterinary Nurse I-Triage Call Center Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking Veterinary Nurses to join our dedicated Triage Call Center to help facilitate exemplary patient care and quality customer service. This position is primarily responsible for triaging phone calls that come into the VHC for patient appointments and consultations. With a substantial knowledge of nursing care, this position actively supports the hospital by serving as an initial point of contact and facilitating communications to help meet patient needs. Working hours for Veterinary Nurses in this position will include daytime hours Monday-Friday. Excellent communication and leadership skills are utilized daily in this position.
