Fellow (Post Doc) Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
We seek an enthusiastic colleague to help lead an experiment co-designed by The Nature Conservancy and researchers at Kansas State University. The experiment will assess the effectiveness of “virtual fence” technology to control cattle grazing locations with the aim of improving conditions for grassland birds, and improving stream health including water quality, stream macroinvertebrates, and streamside vegetation. The post-doctoral fellow will be jointly supervised by Dr. Alice Boyle and Dr. Walter Dodds (K-State Biology) and collaborate closely with Tony Capizzo (The Nature Conservancy; Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve) and managers from the partner ranch.
HVAC Technician Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement

This position plans, organizes, directs, and controls technical work in the Small Animal Intensive Care Unit of the KSU-VHC during an established shift. Employee maintains equipment and supply status in the SA-ICU area and is responsible for assisting clinicians and senior veterinary students as they provide critical care to client cases in this work area. Responsible for overseeing the cleanliness of the work area, supervising the primary care of critical patients, and ensuring that supplies are not outdated. Monitors medical records and ICU orders of patients for completeness, accuracy, and financial accountability. This position is also responsible for the coordination of animal treatments. Instruct, train, and supervise students and employees in approved treatment techniques.
