Beef Cattle Institute Research Director Manhattan
The College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants for the Beef Cattle Institute Research Director. The purpose of this position is to coordinate Beef Cattle Institute research efforts specifically in the area of data analytics and other industry relevant projects. The qualified applicant will be responsible for managing projects including defining and adhering to project budgets and timelines. The person will need to possess skills in all aspects of livestock research including experimental design, authoring protocols, designing data capture forms, performing statistical analysis, interpreting results, and generating outcomes in the form of public presentations and peer-reviewed manuscripts. Additional skills include data management, data analytics, statistical expertise, and generating deliverables in the form of oral or written presentations. Experience in project management and completing goals in a timely fashion is necessary. Experience in beef cattle research will be important as this person will work independently in addition to collaborating with faculty, graduate and veterinary students.

This is a technical position supporting a faculty project leader in a field based cropping systems/soil management research program. Fellow (Post Doc) Manhattan
The Agronomy Department at Kansas State University is looking for a Fellow (Post Doc) to implement a landscape scale ET and crop productivity model, to fulfill a research plan supported by the Ogallala Aquifer Program. This person will work closely with investigators in Manhattan, KS; Colby, KS; and Bushland, TX. This project will synthesize current knowledge of ET mapping and working hypotheses of turbulent transfer into a physically-based modeling tools which can be scaled (30 m to 10 km) to provide information regarding consumptive water use, net primary productivity, and yield formation for multi-year crop systems ranging from dryland to full irrigation.

The Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) will provide leadership and supervision for the Kansas State Polytechnic residential community with a population of 150 - 200 students. The coordinator’s primary function is to direct and oversee the operations of the residential community. Duties include student development, training, advising student groups, facilities management, professional development, and administrative and managerial responsibilities. This position includes the staffing and supervision of 20 resident assistants and front desk staff. The RLC assesses, contributes to and oversees the implementation and enhancement of student learning outside the classroom through programmatic opportunities. The RLC is the primary leader within his or her community for student conduct proceedings, occupancy management, and MAP-Works implementation. RLCs also serve on departmental and university committees and assist with campus-wide programming efforts. This is a 12 month, full-time live-in position, with evening and weekend responsibilities.
