The Director of Web and Digital Strategy is responsible for leading the university’s digital web presence and connecting it across traditional and emerging media, ensuring the development and execution of integrated strategies. This role is both a team leadership role and one that must maintain subject matter expertise, requiring a balance between management/supervisory skills, an ability to motivate and inspire, client relations expertise, technical experience and knowledge of content management platforms, user experience best practices, search engine optimization strategies, accessibility standards, and web optimization. The successful candidate will be critical in developing processes and protocols that enhance the division’s overall ability to elevate the university’s web presence.
Postdoc Associate for Statistical Learning and Data Mining of Automated Tracking	Olathe, Kansas	Hybrid eligible (partially remote, must reside in US)
K-State Olathe and the 1DATA-PAW initiative seeks a Postdoc Associate in the area of data science and elements of statistical and machine learning. We are looking for a Postdoc Associate who can help design and analyze data obtained from a novel deep learning technology that will use visual, audio, and other sensory data to track the behaviors of pigs in a pen continuously and in test arenas that are used to measure cognition and dominance. In light of this technology, This position will be requested to perform a comparative analysis from an adaptive resolution rate based on multiple cameras installed in the pens and arenas designed by Dr. Hulbert for the Sorghum Project. Sorghum fermented products will be used to mitigate stress, inflammatory, and behavioral responses in adult pigs that must have restricted feed intake to maintain a healthy body weight or reduce weight after becoming overweight. This position is full-time, exempt (salaried), term position.
Postdoc Associate for Automated Tracking and AI Deep Learning Analytics	Olathe, Kansas	Hybrid eligible (partially remote, must reside in US)
K-State Olathe is hiring a Fellow Post Doc to help design and engineer a novel deep learning technology that will use visual, audio, and other sensory data to track the behaviors of pigs in a pen continuously and in test arenas that are used to measure cognition and dominance. Extension agents are professional educators who serve as a link between Kansas State University and communities across Kansas. The Shawnee County Extension office is located in Topeka and serves the communities of Auburn, Berryton, Dover, Rossville, Silver Lake, Topeka and all rural areas in the county. This position will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of research-based nutrition educational programming to support successful families and the systems that serve them. Programming may include but is not limited to: food preparation, nutrition, food safety, food resource management, household food security, and physical activity promotion. Major efforts will target limited-resource families and individuals.
Veterinary Nursing Supervisor-Medicine Section	Manhattan, Kansas	On-site requirement
The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Veterinary Nursing Supervisor to join our dedicated team to help provide exemplary patient care and customer service. This position plays a vital role in overseeing our nursing staff for the Medicine Section which includes Internal Medicine, Hill’s Pet Health, Urgent Care, Emergency, Dermatology, and Oncology services. Nursing Supervisors provide a high-level of input on patient care and helps to direct the work flow in various areas of the hospital. This position holds many responsibilities including the assigning of daily tasks, management of staff hours, establishing of performance standards, and helping in the growth and development of veterinary nurses. This position is given the opportunity to advance their skillset through continuing education and various learning experiences. Working hours for Nursing Supervisors in this position will primarily include daytime hours Monday-Friday with occasional variances. Excellent communication and leadership skills are utilized daily.
