Child Development Teaching Assistant Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
The Department of Applied Human Sciences, within the College of Health and Human Sciences, is seeking a Child Development Assistant Teacher to join their team at the Center for Child Development. The teaching assistant is responsible for providing support to the lead teacher in the areas of designing, planning, and leading activities for children. This position ensures a clean and safe environment for all children in attendance and regularly communicates with teaching staff, parents, and administrators regarding issues that concern the children. This position reports to the Center’s Assistant Director.
Biosecurity Maintenance Specialist Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
Responsibilities include complex building automation and management systems that control and monitor BRI’s physical plant operations associated with requirements for bio-containment and continuation of operations. The incumbent may direct others involved with the BMS, controls and associated tasks related to said systems. The incumbent maintains a system control database that is used for overall bio-containment approaches to building systems operation. The incumbent serves as the technical resource for adjustments and modifications to the building management computer system in accordance with policies and programs of the BRI. The duties adhere to best practices of the bio-containment industry as well as innovation to address specific needs that will serve as bio-containment operations benchmarks. All activities and programs are to fulfill compliance requirements for local (City of Manhattan, KS), State, Federal and Kansas State University policies, procedures, codes and regulations affecting bio-containment and facility operations of the BRI.

This position will be the payroll functional lead for the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) payroll system for Kansas State University and affiliated agencies and is responsible for interfaces to the Financial Information System (FIS) and the K-State Student Information System (KSIS).
