Forest Health Coordinator Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
The Kansas Forest Service is hiring a full-time position as the Forest Health Coordinator. This position is the Statewide, leadership level, subject matter expert for the Kansas Forest Service on matters related to Forest Health. This includes, but is not limited to, administrative responsibility for the management of forest health grants and reporting requirements. Another major expectation for this position is being the forest health point of contact with partner agencies and the public. Internally this position works to keep other KFS staff informed of status of forest health threats and current research on mitigation options. As a leadership level position the incumbent will assist in bringing a Forest Health perspective into agency direction and planning discussions. Strong organizational and prioritization skills will be key to success in this role.

Assistant/Associate Professor of Infectious Disease Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
The Department of Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology, College of Veterinary Medicine, Kansas State University is recruiting an Assistant or Associate Professor with expertise in tick/vector-borne disease, parasitology, and host-pathogen interactions. The ideal candidate should have evidence of research productivity and a strong potential to obtain or have already obtained extramural funding in any area of bacterial tick-borne diseases. This position is a 12-month, tenure-track appointment with an approximately 80% research, 15% teaching, and 5% non-directed service distribution of effort. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in working across disciplines and collaborating broadly in areas that are potentially synergistic with current departmental and college faculty interests in infectious diseases, vaccinology, and cellular and molecular mechanisms of host-pathogen interactions.

Assistant/Associate Professor (Immunology) Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
The Department of Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology, College of Veterinary Medicine, Kansas State University seeks to expand our expertise in infectious diseases of production animals and host-pathogen interactions by hiring an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (tenure-track or tenured) with expertise in basic/domestic animal immunology. This position will be a 12-month appointment with approximately 70% research, 20% teaching, and 10% service appointment. Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor - Pharmacology Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
The Department of Anatomy and Physiology within the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University is seeking a pharmacology faculty member (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor). This is a full-time position with rank and salary commensurate with qualifications. The position is available as (1) a research and teaching appointment (tenure-track/tenured) or (2) a primarily teaching appointment (clinical-track) and may be a 9- or 12-month position based on the applicant. The candidate will be expected to teach pharmacology in the graduate and professional curriculums, and contribute to the service mission of the Department, College, and University. Specific teaching requirements will be tailored to the expertise of the applicant and the needs of the College but it is anticipated that the teaching appointment for this position will be a minimum of 40% for tenure-track and 70% for clinical track. This agent will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive 4-H youth development program for school-aged youth in cooperation with local community members and extension colleagues. Programming will include but is not limited to: youth livestock programming, community club support, out-of-school programs, school enrichment, and outreach to create program opportunities with new and existing community partners.
Wabaunsee County Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent Other On-site requirement
Extension agents are professional educators, community connectors and innovators who serve as a link between Kansas State University and communities across Kansas. Wabaunsee County is in the beautiful Flint Hills between Manhattan and Topeka in northeast Kansas and has a population of just over 7,000. Beef cattle ranching and farming make up the county’s agriculture sector. This agent will be responsible for diverse agriculture programming, including overseeing a newly started Master Gardener program, as well as sharing responsibility for community vitality and 4-H youth development. Agricultural programming may include but is not limited to: agronomy; livestock production; agricultural economics, management, and public policy; horticultural production and management; and natural resources conservation and environmental stewardship.
