| Kansas Forest Service is hiring two full-time positions as District Fire Management Officers within the KFS Fire Program. These positions help the Fire Program to meet the needs of fire departments and communities we serve by being the direct contact for the program to the fire departments and related organizations within their assigned district. They will help provide training, direct incident support, and have the opportunity to more effectively pursue relations with those we serve. The location for these positions is flexible within the NW, SW, and SE district and they are eligible to work remote in a hybrid/partial capacity. |

| Extension agents are professional educators who serve as a link between Kansas State University and communities across Kansas. The Shawnee County Extension office is located in Topeka and serves the communities of Auburn, Berryton, Dover, Rossville, Silver Lake, Topeka and all rural areas in the county. This position will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of research-based nutrition educational programming to support successful families and the systems that serve them. Programming may include but is not limited to: food preparation, nutrition, food safety, food resource management, household food security, and physical activity promotion. Major efforts will target limited-resource families and individuals. |

| The Safety & Security Officer I receives written and oral instructions their from immediate supervisor indicating assigned work area, information on buildings in use and the opening/closing times of buildings in assigned area. Supervisor closely checks safety and security officer’s daily shift reports, and security reports for completeness. The Safety and Security Officer works independently and unsupervised while performing their duties. |
