About This Role:

The Agronomy Department at Kansas State University is looking for a Fellow (Post Doc) to work on field research activities related to sustainable agriculture and resilience of farming systems. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with faculty from multiple departments in the College of Agriculture to advance research on aspects related to sustainable agriculture and resilience of farming systems in Kansas. Specific research areas will be related to conducting innovative research, data collection, interpretation and analysis of results and publishing.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Agronomy or related field.
  • Experience in conducting independent field research on farming systems.
  • Knowledge about using crop simulation models or farming systems modeling.
  • Knowledge about using Geographical information systems and remote sensing tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in handling large data-sets, meta-analyses, remote sensing and crop simulation modeling.
  • Experience in conducting multidisciplinary research activities and team building.
  • Experience in grant writing and ability to interact with producers.

Salary Range/ Pay Rate:

Minimum yearly salary is $47,476. Salary commensurate with experience.
