About This Role:

Part-time Research Assistant to assist with the ongoing research and maintenance in the laboratory of Dr. Zhilong Yang.

The position to understand poxvirus replication and host interaction. Specifically, how poxvirus efficiently produces proteins. The study mainly uses the vaccinia virus as the research model and involves in many molecular and mammalian cell culture techniques.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a research lab with microbiological, cell biological, molecular or biochemical techniques.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
