The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated Small Animal Surgery team to provide exemplary patient care. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide support for the surgery team in caring for client, teaching, and research animals in the VHC. Though there are many ways Veterinary Assistants provide support, some of the key ways are through enhancing help during busy surgery schedules, assisting with teaching opportunities, and helping with research projects. Individuals in this role will also provide meaningful support through maintaining inventory, organizing necessary equipment, and monitoring and assisting in basic aspects of patient care. Effective communication and leadership skills are utilized daily.
