About This Role:

This position is responsible for the supervision and management of the Arts & Science Shared Service - Accounting.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree and three to five years relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Accounting or other related field
  • Knowledge of the general rules and regulations concerning accounting and budgeting in Higher Education.
  • Knowledge of budget, inventory, and procurement practices and procedures.
  • Have excellent organizational skills as well as the ability to determine priorities and work independently.
  • Ability to maintain total confidentiality in regards to budget and salary information.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and apply pertinent law, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to detect and reconcile discrepancies in financial records.
  • Ability to train student employees and advise employees on University and College-level policies and procedures.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and representatives of other departments and agencies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a diverse group of people both on and off campus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high level of financial activities within extremely busy shared service center.
