About This Role:

Hua Laboratory in the Department of Chemistry, College of Arts and Sciences seeks a full-time, term, Research Assistant to perform work as directed by the Principal Investigator to conduct ongoing research experiments. This role will contribute to our research projects including synthesis of anti-Alzheimer’s molecules and chiral polymers for stabilization of bimetallic nanoclusters and application in catalytic asymmetric oxidation reactions funded by NIH and NSF.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry
  • Experience in characterization methods such as NMR, AFM, TEM, HPLC, and mass spectroscopy
  • Research in projects including catalytic asymmetric oxidation of diols, alkenes, alkanes, and synthesis of anti-Alzheimer's drug derivatives

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

$36,240 - $57,907 annually ($17.42 to $27.84 per hour
