About This Role:

The Chemistry Department invites applications for a Teaching Assistant Professor beginning with the Fall 2021 - Spring 2022 semesters. The person hired will serve as a full-time Teaching Assistant Professor in the Chemistry Department.  This new hire will teach the equivalent of two courses in organic chemistry per semester beginning August 2021. Duties will include preparing lecture materials, delivering lectures to enrolled students, holding regular office hours, developing homework sets, and exams and grading these, along with guiding any graduate or undergraduate students hired to help with grading of homework and exams.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. in chemistry or closely related discipline
  • Experience teaching chemistry at the undergraduate level

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Training focused on organic chemistry
  • Experience teaching organic chemistry at the undergraduate level

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
