About This Role:

The Department of Clinical Sciences, Veterinary Health Center, and the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University invites applications for a clinical, 1-year, renewable appointment as a Small Animal Urgent Care Clinician (SAUCC). The SAUCC will serve as a faculty member within the Pet Health and Nutrition Center and also work closely with the Surgery and Internal Medicine specialty services within the Veterinary Health Center. The SAUCC will provide primary care for emergencies and walk-in appointments, triage cases prior to internal referral to the appropriate specialty service, and provide front-line support for the Orthopedic and General surgery services. In addition to clinical care, the SAUCC will provide clinical and didactic instruction for senior students on the Pet Health service.  The SAUCC will be a team member in the mission to teach and develop entry-level skills in a primary care setting and provide exceptional care to the patients of the Veterinary Health Center.

This position represents a 100% appointment in clinical service and teaching.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • DVM degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completed internship training or have three years of experience in small animal practice
