About This Role:

The Department of Chemistry and the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics (BMB) jointly invite applications for a non-tenure track position as a Senior Research Scientist to begin in June 2022. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and interactive scientist with strong experience in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy.

The departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics at Kansas State University offer programs leading to the B.S., B.A., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees. Each department houses an NMR facility with instrumentation serving faculty research and instructional needs.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: M.S. in chemistry, biochemistry, physics or a closely related discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Multidimensional NMR spectroscopy experiments and instruments, data collection and analysis using software running under the Linux operating system.
  • Education: Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a closely related field
  • Experience with protein NMR spectroscopy and MRI

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

$47,890 - $70,000 / annually, depending on education and experience
