About This Role:

The Department of Clinical Sciences and the Veterinary Health Center, College of Veterinary Medicine, Kansas State University, invites applications for a clinical or tenure-track faculty position in small animal dentistry at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor. The appointment will be dependent upon the career goals, qualifications, and preference of the successful applicant.

The successful candidate will join a dentistry service with a team that includes a primary care dental clinician undergoing advanced dental training, and 2 technicians with one credentialed as a veterinary technician specialist (Dentistry).  The candidate will participate in clinical service, veterinary student, and house officer instruction, and potentially research to support the academic missions of the Department and Veterinary Health Center. Strong in-house internal medicine, soft tissue, orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology, diagnostic imaging, and anesthesia services provide clinical support for the dentistry caseload.

Applicants must possess a DVM or equivalent degree and have board certification from the American Veterinary Dental College or European Veterinary Dental College, have completed residency training, or be enrolled in the third year of residency training. Research training and advanced degree(s) are desirable for tenure-track candidates.
