About This Role:

The Director of Engineering Extension Programs has administrative responsibility for the Engineering Extension Program / Kansas Industrial Extension Service.
Engineering Extension is housed in the College of Engineering and the Director reports to the Associate Dean for Research. Engineering Extension program areas historically have included: pollution prevention and control, indoor radon assessment and mitigation, indoor air quality, energy conservation, and renewable energy. Engineering Extension programs and operations are supported entirely by extramural sources of funding and the Director is expected to be able to provide his own salary dollars.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
|
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor's degree and five to 10 years of relevant experience. Various licensure may be required; exact licensure is dependent upon job duties assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.S. or higher degree in engineering or architecture or in an area of science directly related to one or more of the program areas (Radon, Pollution Prevention, Energy), at least five years of professional work in one or more of the program areas, a record of directing substantial extramurally funded extension or research programs including experience as a principle investigator, a demonstrated record of working with potential funding entities to identify and secure funding sources, a demonstrated record of successful proposal writing for extramural extension or research funding, a demonstrated record of ability to work with other professional personnel and provide effective leadership. Administrative experience is desirable.

$78,359.00 - $120,000.00 Annually
