About This Role:

A tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor position within the Industrial and Organizational Psychology is available within the Department of Psychological Sciences at Kansas State University. This position involves undergraduate and graduate teaching and mentoring, productive research activity, and service to the department, college, and university. The successful candidate will become part of an I/O program dating back over 40 years. Kansas State University has the only I/O Ph.D. program in the state of Kansas. Supporting and growing that program through teaching a range of I/O courses, research excellence, and student mentoring will be the focus of this position.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, or closely related field from an accredited college or university at the time of appointment.
  • Evidence of potential for a strong research program, as indicated by publications and conference presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability and willingness to teach two courses per semester on various topics including a range of both "industrial" (e.g., psychological testing/measurement, personnel selection) and "organizational" (e.g., training and development, group dynamics) courses at the undergraduate and graduate level.
  • Ability to successfully secure extramural grants for research and to support students.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range:

$70,000 - $85,000 annually
