Research Assistant Olathe, Kansas
Kansas State University Olathe (http://olathe.k-state.edu) is seeking a full-time research assistant to work directly with the Sensory and Consumer Research Center Co-Director to support the planning and execution of contract sensory and consumer research studies and studies sponsored by Kansas State. The research assistant must have experience conducting consumer and sensory research studies, be able to coordinate staff and other partners on projects to ensure quality research is being conducted and timelines are met, have creative problem solving skills to provide advice for improvement of testing approach, and effectively communicate with industry partners as a sensory and consumer research expert representing the Sensory & Consumer Research Center.
Laboratory Administrator (K-State Polytechnic) Salina, Kansas
The Kansas State Polytechnic campus is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Administrator for the Bulk Solids Innovation Center. The position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the BSIC, including equipment, testing, and overseeing the work of Student Interns. As experience is gained, the position will evaluate customer material samples and make recommendations about designing material handling systems for those materials. Over time, the Laboratory Administrator will become an expert, recognized in both industry and academia, in a variety of Bulk Solid handling technologies.

This position is responsible for examining, using, and maintaining experimental equipment, such as food and beverage processing and production equipment. The research technologist will conduct experimental electronic research, analyze data from those studies, and manage projects following University protocols. Wild West District 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent Other
Wild West District consists of Haskell, Seward, and Stevens Counties in Southwest Kansas. The district has a combined population of 31,842. Offices are located in Sublette, Liberal, and Hugoton and house six Extension agents and three office professionals. There is a strong 4-H Youth Development program with 240 members and a great potential to build a strong youth development program targeting additional youth. Extension agents are community based faculty of Kansas State University who make a difference by connecting community needs with university resources. Agents are administratively responsible to the local extension director and the local extension board. This position will provide primary leadership for the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive 4-H youth development program for school-aged youth in cooperation with local residents and extension colleagues. The primary focus of this position is youth development, adult volunteer development, youth education program development, expanding partnerships, and participation and membership growth. Programming will include but is not limited to: volunteer management, supporting community clubs, out-of-school programs, school enrichment, and outreach to create new program opportunities with existing and new community partners.
