The personnel in this position will conduct tests in the rabies laboratory including the performance of rabies antibody analyses on human and animal sera including serum neutralization and ELISA assays, the interpretation and reporting of serological and diagnostic results, and maintaining the quality system through documentation, review, and trend analysis for all tests as well as corrective action reports and ensuring the quality of test results. This includes the facilitation of payments to entities receiving sub-awards, host country partners, and foreign vendors as well as monitoring award expenditures and other financial activities. This position will also support the SIIL Fiscal Analyst by preparing monthly budget and expenditure reports, assist with travel arrangements, track and report equipment, and provide status reports on contract status of all subawardees. The Accountant II will report directly to the Sustainable Intensification Innovation Lab (SIIL) Fiscal Analyst.

The Extension Nutrition Program, within K-State Research and Extension, is currently seeking two part-time Extension Nutrition Assistants (20 hours/week). The Extension Nutrition Assistants will provide nutrition education to low-income families with young children and youth as part of the goals and objectives of the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP). This position provides nutrition education to enrolled families and youth on a daily basis and tailors the content to suit the needs of each client. The position requires strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively recruit and retain program participants and develop collaborative partnerships with community agencies.
