Animal Technician I- Large Animal Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants for an Animal Technician I- Large Animal. This position provides routine care and nutrition for large animals. Responsible for cleaning and disinfecting housing facilities and feeding equipment. This position reports to the appropriate administrator. No minimum requirements. Some positions may require additional education (or relevant experience) that will be specified on the position description. Various training and/or certification may be required.
Veterinary Assistant- Small Animal ICU Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking Veterinary Assistants to join our dedicated Small Animal ICU team to help provide exemplary patient care. Though there are many responsibilities of someone in this position, the primary responsibility is to provide clinical assistance to the ICU staff in the day-to-day operations of caring for critical patients. Individuals in this role will also provide meaningful support through maintaining inventory, organizing necessary equipment, and engaging in basic aspects of patient care. Working hours for Veterinary Assistants in this position will include daytime hours and some weekends. This position prioritizes effective communication and leadership skills daily.
HR Representative Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
This position’s responsibilities include assisting with all Human Resource functions for the College of Veterinary Medicine departments: Anatomy & Physiology (A&P), Dean of Vet Med (VMA), Veterinary Support Services (OSS), Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology (DMP), Clinical Sciences (CS), Veterinary Health Center (VHC), and Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (VDL). Preparation and submission of appointment documents for graduate students for all aforementioned departments as well as student and temporary University Support Staff and Unclassified appointment documents. Manages the Time Management System and responsible for preparation of time and leave for all departments. Responsible for maintaining the Time Management System for all departments within the CVM as well as facilitating any upgrades or improvements to the system. Provides guidance to supervisors and employees on student, graduate student, and temporary appointments and is the first point of contact for all time and leave questions and issues. Assists Human Resource Manager with preparation of reports, evaluating data pertaining to time and leave, provides input and ideas for areas of improvement within Human Resource processes for the College of Veterinary Medicine.
Client Services Assistant-Part Time Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking Client Services Assistants to join our dedicated team to help facilitate exemplary patient care and quality customer service. While there are many responsibilities of someone in this role, this position is primarily responsible for greeting and referring clients and patients, managing admissions, and facilitating appointments. Client Services Assistants also provide exceptional customer service through taking calls from clients, listening to customer needs, and providing helpful solutions to any concerns or issues. Excellent communication skills are utilized daily as this position acts as a liaison between clients, patients, and the hospital service providers.
Clinical Pathology Locum Instructor Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
The Kansas State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (KSVDL) is seeking board-certified or residency-trained clinical pathologists to provide locum support for part of or all the dates from January 22-26th, 2024. The locum will be responsible for the review of cytology samples, secondary review of select hematology cases, and consultation on clinical chemistry, urinalysis, and serum protein electrophoresis, as needed. The locum will provide daily support to interns on cases. Salary is $5000.00 per week or $4000.00 per week plus travel expense reimbursement.
