The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants for a Veterinary Nurse. This position exists to assist with providing quality veterinary procedures for client/teaching/research animals in the VHC. This is a position primarily assigned to provide assistance with Small Animal Surgery on a daily basis, whether it is to enhance help for a busy surgery schedule, to assist with teaching, or to help with a research project. Assignment will be made by the supervisor.

During weeks when employee is required to work over a weekend, the corresponding Thursdays will be non-working days in lieu of Saturday/Sunday. Monitors medical records and ICU orders of patients for completeness, accuracy, and financial accountability. This position is also responsible for coordination of animal treatments; instruct, train and supervise students and employees in approved treatment technique.

The Division of Facilities at K-State is hiring for multiple Electrician positions. This position is responsible for planning a scheduling new electrical distribution centers and maintain and repair the existing distribution centers which control the power for the campus, both high voltage (4,160V - 12,500V) and low voltage (110V, 220V, 240V, 440V, 480V). Be knowledgeable and proficient in the high voltage loop system on campus to enable the back feeding of high voltage to building substations in order to ensure minimum electrical outage time.

This is a relief emergency milking position. This person must be available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to be called into work. Duties include setting up milking equipment, carefully moving cows to and from the milking parlor, prepping cows properly for milking (predippping and cleaning of teats), diagnosing abnormal milk (if mastitis exists then proper milking and disposal of milk must occur), attaching milking machines, and post-dipping teats after milking. The employee sanitizes the equipment before and after each milking shift. In addition, the employee coducts regular inspection of the milk tank compressors, milk line and pump to ensure bulk storage tanks are operating correcting and cooling milk before, during, and after each milking shift. Other miscellaneous animal care duties may be assigned during the milking shift.
