Professor of Practice/Director Other On-site requirement
The College of Architecture, Planning, and Design at Kansas State University invites applications for Professor of Practice/Director of the Kansas City Design Center beginning as early as mid-July 2024. Located in the heart of downtown Kansas City, the Kansas City Design Center (KCDC) is a nationally recognized, multi-disciplinary, service-learning design center that operates as a nonprofit partnership among local civic leaders, professional designers, and the design programs at Kansas State University. The incoming director will have the unique opportunity to leverage KCDC's strong foundation to establish a vision that shapes the center’s future. The Professor of Practice/Director is a full-time, 12-month appointment reporting to the Dean consisting of 50% teaching, 30% administration, and 20% service directed towards the efforts of KCDC.

The Department of Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology, College of Veterinary Medicine, Kansas State University seeks to expand our expertise in infectious diseases of production animals and host-pathogen interactions by hiring an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (tenure-track or tenured) with expertise in basic/domestic animal immunology. This position will be a 12-month appointment with approximately 70% research, 20% teaching, and 10% service appointment. The faculty is particularly interested in individuals with demonstrated experience in working across disciplines and collaborating broadly. Highest consideration will be given to candidates who also possess a strong background in cellular and molecular biology with investigations that are potentially synergistic with current College of Veterinary Medicine faculty interests in infectious diseases, vaccinology, inflammation, toxicology, cancer, public health, and food safety.
Extension Volunteer Specialist Manhattan, Kansas Hybrid eligible (partially remote, must reside in US)
The Extension Volunteer Specialist will serve all of K-State Research and Extension (KSRE) with volunteer development, providing leadership to the development of and implementation of a volunteer management system. The volunteer specialist will develop initiatives through strategic partnerships within KSRE, creating recruitment processes, training programs, evaluation protocols and providing direction to KSRE professionals who work with program volunteers. The full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate will be an integral part of the Northwest Agronomy team at the Kansas State University Northwest Research-Extension Center, Colby, Kansas. This individual will have leadership responsibilities for the day-to-day operations of multiple research projects that are focused on improving nitrogen use efficiency in dryland cropping systems and reducing nitrogen losses to N2O greenhouse gas emissions and NH3 volatilization. These projects are part of a DOE supported SmartFarm project and a FFAR AgMission project. This individual will take a lead role in the analysis and publication of data resulting from the many aspects of these projects while also being involved in field operations. In addition, the individual will have the opportunity to become involved with a diverse set of projects that include corn, sorghum, wheat, dry beans/pulses, cotton, and other crops in the context of dryland and limited irrigation production systems. Opportunities for involvement could include field operations and data collection, data processing and analysis, publication of peer-reviewed manuscripts, and grant submissions.
