The Applied Aviation Research Center (AARC) at Kansas State University’s Aerospace and Technology Campus in Salina is seeking a highly-motivated and skilled Research Associate to support unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) research and development activities. The Research Associate will assist with grant proposal development by conducting literature reviews, establishing methodologies, drafting milestones, tasks objectives, research task plan(s) and budgets as required. The incumbent may also serve as a technical lead on various research projects within their area of expertise and instruct courses in UAS as applicable.

The Department of Anatomy and Physiology within the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University is seeking a pharmacology faculty member (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor). This is a full-time position with rank and salary commensurate with qualifications. The position is available as (1) a research and teaching appointment (tenure-track/tenured) or (2) a primarily teaching appointment (clinical-track) and may be a 9- or 12-month position based on the applicant. The candidate will be expected to teach pharmacology in the graduate and professional curriculums, and contribute to the service mission of the Department, College, and University. Specific teaching requirements will be tailored to the expertise of the applicant and the needs of the College but it is anticipated that the teaching appointment for this position will be a minimum of 40% for tenure-track and 70% for clinical track. Applicants with the ability to teach additional related biomedical topics, including physiology, are especially desirable. The overall originality and promise of a candidate’s research will be prioritized rather than the candidate’s area of specialization within pharmacology or related fields for tenure-track/tenured candidates. As part of their duties, a tenure-track or tenured candidate will be expected to mentor and train graduate and professional students in an area of the candidate’s expertise and establish and maintain an independent, dynamic, extramurally-funded research program. We seek an enthusiastic and versatile geologists able to contribute to our growing research in Hydrogeology. It is expected that the successful candidate will teach two introductory geology course sections during the Fall 2024 term, and during the Spring 2025 term, one section of introductory geology and one section of Hydrogeology. In addition, the lecturer will contribute to new and exciting research avenues that complement existing research efforts and publish results in peer-reviewed journals. Engagement in graduate and undergraduate mentoring and graduate-level instruction may also be possible.
