Assistant/Associate/Full Professor positions- Biomanufacturing Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
Kansas State University (K-State) is hiring up to twelve new faculty members at all ranks and in multiple disciplines to enhance our research and instruction strengths that support the growing biomanufacturing industry in the region through innovation and workforce development. These faculty will bring innovative research and learning that complements our established reputation in agriculture, biosciences, biosecurity, engineering, and veterinary medicine. As an example of this strength, K-State is leading an NSF Engines Development Award for “Advancing biosecurity, biodefense, and biomanufacturing technologies” and is a member of the Kansas City Inclusive Biologics and Biomanufacturing Tech Hub recently designated by the EDA.
Sedgwick County 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent Other On-site requirement
Extension agents are professional educators, community connectors and innovators who serve as a link between Kansas State University and communities across Kansas. Wichita is the county seat of Sedgwick County, which includes 19 other cities. Sedgwick County extension programs, focused in the areas of family and consumer sciences, 4-H youth development, agriculture/ horticulture, and community development, are conducted by a team of nine agents and multiple hourly staff members. This agent will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive 4-H youth development program for school-aged youth in cooperation with local community members and extension colleagues. Programming will include but is not limited to: youth livestock programming, community club support, out-of-school programs, school enrichment, and outreach to create program opportunities with new and existing community partners.
Wabaunsee County Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent Other On-site requirement
Extension agents are professional educators, community connectors and innovators who serve as a link between Kansas State University and communities across Kansas. Wabaunsee County is in the beautiful Flint Hills between Manhattan and Topeka in northeast Kansas and has a population of just over 7,000. Beef cattle ranching and farming make up the county’s agriculture sector. This agent will be responsible for diverse agriculture programming, including overseeing a newly started Master Gardener program, as well as sharing responsibility for community vitality and 4-H youth development. Agricultural programming may include but is not limited to: agronomy; livestock production; agricultural economics, management, and public policy; horticultural production and management; and natural resources conservation and environmental stewardship.
Central Kansas District Family Resource Management Extension Agent Salina, Kansas On-site requirement
Extension agents are professional educators, community connectors and innovators who serve as a link between Kansas State University and communities across Kansas.  The Central Kansas Extension District consists of Ottawa and Saline counties. A team of seven extension agents and six support staff serve a combined population of 60,000. This agent will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of research-based educational programming related to family resource management. Programming may include but is not limited to: financial planning; budgeting and record keeping; consumer credit; senior health insurance counseling; and taxpayer education.
IT Business Analyst II Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
The IT Business Analyst position serves as a partner for one or more university functional teams. Working directly with business stakeholders the individual in this position will collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design. This position will engage other IT professionals to identify and implement innovative solutions for complex challenges. This highly collaborative environment encourages innovation and ideas. Individuals in this position will specialize in a functional area and have the ability to provide consultative assistance and backup to other business analysts. This position will be responsible for effectively leading meetings, driving communications and working in a constantly changing environment. The Business Analysts will work on projects with some complexity, which have operational impact, and potentially strategic impact, to one or more departments/units. This position may also serve as project manager for smaller projects as workload allows.
