| Extension agents are professional educators, community connectors and innovators who serve as a link between Kansas State University and communities across Kansas. The Sunflower Extension District consists of Cheyenne, Sherman, and Wallace counties in northwest Kansas. Three agents, three office professionals, and a multi-county agronomist serve the district’s combined population of just over 10,000 people.This position will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of research-based educational programming related to agriculture and natural resources. Programming topics may include but are not limited to: livestock production; agricultural economics, management, and public policy; horticultural production and management; and natural resources conservation and environmental stewardship.

This position works directly with the Food Programs and Services Manager and other Kansas State staff to support the planning and execution of food programs, events, and classes. This position is focused on the day-to-day operations of the Food Innovation Accelerator, the food business incubator housed in the research kitchen complex on campus.This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position and is benefits eligible. Work hours are 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. May need to work some evenings and weekends. |
