Program/Project Manager I Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
The Agronomy Department at Kansas State University is looking for a Program/Project Manager I to coordinate an interdisciplinary research team in 7 states for a FFAR-funded project, Increasing Water Productivity, Soil Carbon, and Sustainability of Integrated Multi-Crop Systems Using Field-Scale Research. Bayer Crop Science is the lead industry partner. Responsibilities will include facilitating external outreach efforts and managing/curating project internal and external web site. The person will also facilitate and provide leadership in organizing and scheduling monthly project conference calls and Advisory Board meetings with the project principal investigators and the project director.
Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor - Pharmacology Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
The Department of Anatomy and Physiology within the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University is seeking a pharmacology faculty member (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor). This is a full-time position with rank and salary commensurate with qualifications. The position is available as (1) a research and teaching appointment (tenure-track/tenured) or (2) a primarily teaching appointment (clinical-track) and may be a 9- or 12-month position based on the applicant. The candidate will be expected to teach pharmacology in the graduate and professional curriculums, and contribute to the service mission of the Department, College, and University. Specific teaching requirements will be tailored to the expertise of the applicant and the needs of the College but it is anticipated that the teaching appointment for this position will be a minimum of 40% for tenure-track and 70% for clinical track. Applicants with the ability to teach additional related biomedical topics, including physiology, are especially desirable. The overall originality and promise of a candidate’s research will be prioritized rather than the candidate’s area of specialization within pharmacology or related fields for tenure-track/tenured candidates. As part of their duties, a tenure-track or tenured candidate will be expected to mentor and train graduate and professional students in an area of the candidate’s expertise and establish and maintain an independent, dynamic, extramurally-funded research program. Intern - Equine Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
The equine internship at the Veterinary Health Center is a 12-month post-DVM clinical program that provides clinical training in equine surgery, internal medicine, theriogenology and field service. The intern provides clinical service under the supervision of senior clinicians and learns through consultation with radiologists, pathologists, and other clinical and basic science specialists. The intern will participate in advanced formal training through weekly rounds with equine faculty and residents.

The Veterinary Health Center at Kansas State University is hiring a 2nd year Resident, offering a two-year residency in Food Animal Internal Medicine and Surgery. This program is designed to prepare the resident for board certification by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. This program is approved by ACVIM, follows the Certification Manual (CM) from ACVIM (www.ACVIM.org) for training residents and is directed by 3 LAIM diplomats of the ACVIM. An additional 3 food animal production medicine faculty provide consultation support.
