Accounting Specialist Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
The College of Ag/KSRE Business Services Unit at Kansas State University is looking to fill an Accounting Specialist position to complete bookkeeping and administrative support duties. This position maintains records and reconciles transactions. Additionally, this position performs tasks involving the preparation of paperwork, processing transactions, running queries, generating reports, and answering questions regarding accounting transactions. This position delivers effective bookkeeping, audit, and reconciliation functions and may oversee compliance relevant to billing procedures, privacy practices, and other regulatory activities. This position reports to the appropriate administrator.
SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educator, Northeast Kansas Other On-site requirement
The Extension Nutrition Program, within K-State Research and Extension, is currently seeking a full-time Nutrition Educator. The Nutrition Educator serves to meet the Kansas Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) mission of empowering limited-resource Kansans using evidence-based strategies to achieve healthy lives and reduce health disparities. Specific strategies include direct education in various settings; community-based projects to address policy, system or environmental changes; and public health approaches to help children, families and adults improve dietary quality and food resource management skills and increase physical activity. This position will serve northeastern Kansas and be based in Marysville, KS.
Assistant/Associate Professor, Extension Agronomist Parsons, Kansas On-site requirement
The Eastern Kansas Research and Extension Centers at Kansas State University is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor, Extension Agronomist to lead an active and innovative extension education and applied research program to support counties in the Southeast region of Kansas, focusing on agronomic crop production and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of Extension specialists and research scientists. Tenure home for this position will be in the Department of Agronomy. The successful candidate will investigate forages and cropping systems for the region, collaborate with other subject matter disciplines at the regional and state level, and meet expectations of extension-related scholarship and applied research. The candidate filling this position is responsible for providing leadership for Extension educational programs in forages, field crops, precision agriculture tools/techniques, soils, and weed management in Southeast Kansas. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide mentorship and in-service training opportunities for local unit Extension agents across this region that includes 26 counties.
